Explanation Non-Player Characters, or NPCs, are useful tools that help fill out the world and give the RP a since of "realism". Having other individuals to interact with is important, especially in the beginning when there may be only a few players. NPCs are not as developed as PCs (Player Characters), but still do act in a consistent and meaningful manner.
NPCs may be created as the story calls for them, but unless otherwise stated, they may be used by any member of the forum. So if you create a police officer, there may be a point when someone else's character encounters said police officer. They are allowed to write the character's responses and actions. However, they must be written as per the NPC's characterization. And for God's sake, don't misuse or abuse anyone's NPC...that's just stupid and rude.
Certain NPC's will have a special tag on them, saying MO. This means these are for Moderator Only use. Anytime you will be interacting with this NPC, a moderator on duty will write their responses. Usually this will be done in a Joint Post. This is done not because we don't trust you guys, but because we have very specific storylines going for these individuals or they are vital to something later. Now go on and populate Coquille!

Name: Obviously, this is where you name the NPC. If they have an appropriate title, please include it! Physical Description: A description of how the NPC looks, including any pertinent special features they may have. This is especially important for the Nightbreed.
Personality Description: This is important so that other players will know how to write this NPC's responses. Is he or she sour? Sweet? Belligerent? Paranoid? Try and be fairly descriptive.
Daily Activities: Write down a fairly set schedule for this NPC. Nothing to in depth, but more like something that will let others know where and how they are likely to encounter this character. Include specific boards they are likely to inhabit or visit.
Roleplaying Guide: This is where you put any extraneous or miscellaneous notes about how others should use this NPC. Anything from special powers or likely responses to certain stimuluses, this is basically aides to help anyone trying to use this NPC.
